NordFX is a MetaTrader-only broker that has been operating since 2008 and now serves international clients through companies in Saint Lucia and Mauritius. It offers four simple accounts, two on MT4 and two on MT5, with a low $10 entry point and a commission-based Zero option. Our verdict: the trading conditions are straightforward and cheap enough for small accounts, but regulatory protection is limited. The only licence is from the FSC of Mauritius, an offshore regulator, and the main group company is an unlicensed Saint Lucia entity.

Regulation and safety
According to the company’s own disclosures, NordFX is run through two companies:
- NordFX LTD, with its registered office in the Sotheby Building, Rodney Bay, Gros-Islet, Saint Lucia, and registration number 2023-00470. No financial regulator is named for this company, so it should be treated as an unregulated company.
- Nord Premium LTD, at The Catalyst, Silicon Avenue, Ebene, Mauritius. The company states that it is licensed by the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius as an Investment Dealer under licence GB24204016.
The FSC Mauritius is an established authority, but for retail forex it is considered an offshore regulator. It does not impose the leverage caps, negative-balance rules or compensation schemes found under the FCA, ASIC or CySEC. We could not search the FSC Mauritius register during this review, so ask NordFX which entity will hold your account and check that entity’s licence with the regulator. NordFX LTD does not serve residents of the USA, Canada, the EU, the Russian Federation, Japan, Brazil, Ukraine, Malaysia, Indonesia, Panama, Cuba, Sudan, Syria, North Korea or Myanmar.
Accounts and fees
The account line-up is one of the simplest around: a spread-only “Pro” account and a raw-spread “Zero” account, each available on both MetaTrader versions.
| Account | Min deposit | Spread from | Commission | Leverage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MT4 Pro | $10 | 1.0 pips | None | Up to 1:1000 |
| MT4 Zero | $100 | 0.0 pips | 0.0035% per side | Up to 1:1000 |
| MT5 Pro | $50 | 1.0 pips | None | Up to 1:1000 |
| MT5 Zero | $200 | 0.0 pips | 0.0035% per side | Up to 1:1000 |
Because commission on the Zero accounts is a percentage of trade value, the charge per lot depends on the instrument and price, not a flat dollar amount. On a standard lot of EUR/USD, 0.0035% per side works out to roughly $3.50 per side on a $100,000 notional. That is in line with many raw-spread brokers, but always check the exact figure in your platform. NordFX also advertises 3.8% annual interest on free margin for MT5 accounts. Read the conditions before treating this as a reason to leave money idle at an offshore broker.
The NordFX review page lists typical spreads for some CFDs, for example about 45 points on the US500 and 180 on the NASDAQ 100. However, its forex and metals spread tables were empty when we checked, so compare live quotes on a demo account before committing.
Markets
NordFX offers CFDs on currency pairs, gold and silver, oil and natural gas, stock indices, individual stocks and cryptocurrencies. Leverage is up to 1:1000 on most products but lower on crypto, where the company cites up to 1:100. The range is adequate for forex-focused traders but much narrower than multi-asset brokers that list thousands of shares and ETFs.
Platforms and tools
NordFX relies entirely on MetaQuotes software:
- MetaTrader 4 – desktop and mobile apps for iOS and Android, suited to traders with existing Expert Advisors and indicators.
- MetaTrader 5 – desktop, mobile and a web terminal, with more timeframes and built-in depth of market.
There is no proprietary platform. Demo accounts are available on both MT4 and MT5, which is the best way to test execution and spreads before going live.
Deposits and withdrawals
The company says it supports more than 25 payment methods, including bank transfer, credit and debit cards, Skrill, Neteller and cryptocurrencies. Method availability depends on your country. Check processing times and any fees in the client area before depositing, and complete identity verification early to avoid delays on your first withdrawal.
Who NordFX suits, and who should avoid it
Suits: MetaTrader users outside the restricted regions who want a low-cost entry, from $10, and a simple choice between spread-only and commission-based pricing. Traders who already run Expert Advisors on MT4 or MT5 will feel at home.
Avoid if: you live in the EU, USA, Canada or another excluded country, you want top-tier regulatory protection, or you need a wide stock and ETF catalogue or a proprietary platform. Beginners should also be wary of the 1:1000 maximum leverage.
Final verdict
NordFX offers clear, competitive conditions for a MetaTrader broker: a $10 minimum, Zero accounts from 0.0 pips and leverage of up to 1:1000. Its long history since 2008 is a point in its favour. The weak spot is regulation. Client protection depends on an FSC Mauritius licence held by one group company, while the other is an unlicensed Saint Lucia entity. If you use NordFX, check which entity holds your account, keep leverage conservative and only risk money you can afford to lose. Leveraged forex and CFD trading carries a high risk of loss.
