LBank has been operating since 2015, which makes it one of the older exchanges in this ranking. CoinGecko lists it twelfth by Trust Score (9/10) on 8 November 2026, with 915 coins, 938 pairs and more than $1.1 billion in 24-hour volume, and records its incorporation in the British Virgin Islands. LBank is best known for listing new and meme tokens early. Our verdict: it is a useful venue for finding small-cap tokens and trading futures cheaply, but it is an offshore exchange with only AML-type registrations, and the coins it is known for are among the riskiest in crypto.

Regulation and safety
LBank does not hold a licence from a top-tier regulator. Its CoinGecko description says LBank has licences from the US National Futures Association (NFA) and Italy’s OAM, along with US and Canadian MSB registrations. CoinGecko’s own regulatory section lists only a Canadian money services business registration, which it classes as a transitory, AML-focused framework. We could not confirm an NFA membership in this session, and an NFA listing would not in any case authorise a crypto spot exchange to serve US retail customers. Treat that claim with caution until you see it on NFA’s BASIC database.
The Italian registration is real but limited. In February 2023 LBank completed registration with the Organismo degli Agenti e dei Mediatori (OAM), the body that keeps Italy’s register of virtual asset providers. That register is an anti-money-laundering list, not a prudential licence. It does not give Italian clients deposit protection or segregation rules comparable to a MiCA authorisation. An LBank review on its own support site from August 2025 says the company is still working on licences such as an Alabama money transmitter licence.
LBank has also pulled back from some markets. On 20 May 2025 it stopped new sign-ups from the UAE, citing Dubai VARA requirements, and from Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. From 27 May 2025 accounts in those countries could only withdraw, cancel orders and close positions. A secondary source says the US and Canada are also excluded, along with mainland China, Hong Kong, sanctioned states and others; LBank’s user agreement is the authoritative list.
CoinGecko records no security incidents for LBank and shows a CORE3 cybersecurity badge, apparently two stars. CoinGecko’s page lists a proof-of-reserves audit as an assessment item but gives no detail, so we could not confirm a current reserves report.
Trading fees
LBank publishes fee ranges rather than one flat rate, because fees are set per pair. From LBank’s trading rules article (November 2025) and its futures fee page, as of November 2026:
| Product | Maker | Taker |
|---|---|---|
| Spot | 0% – 0.2% | 0.1% – 0.2% |
| Futures (range) | 0% – 0.02% | 0% – 0.1% |
| Futures (standard) | 0.02% | 0.06% |
| Leveraged tokens | 0% – 0.06% | 0% – 0.2% |
LBank’s own 2025 review says BTC and ETH spot pairs cost 0.1%, while smaller altcoins can cost 0.2%, and that there are no volume discounts on spot. That is higher than at most large rivals for small-cap trading. LBank sometimes runs zero-fee spot campaigns; check the current promotion terms on the official site rather than assuming a promotion is live. Each pair’s exact fee appears in the trading interface before you place an order.
Products
LBank’s main draw is its coin list. With more than 900 coins it lists far more assets than regulated exchanges, often including tokens shortly after launch. These can be extremely volatile, thinly traded and sometimes abandoned, so check liquidity and order-book depth before buying. LBank also offers perpetual futures with leverage it advertises at up to 200x, leveraged tokens and copy trading. High leverage can close out a position after a tiny price move, so most traders should use far less or none.
Deposits and withdrawals
Crypto deposits are free. CoinGecko lists no direct fiat deposits; card, bank and e-wallet purchases go through third-party providers, which LBank says number more than 100 methods. Withdrawal fees vary by coin and are published on LBank’s fee page. LBank does not publish a minimum deposit. Check KYC requirements in the app: verification levels decide your withdrawal limits and whether you can use fiat services.
Who it suits and who should avoid it
- Suits: experienced traders in permitted countries who want early access to new tokens or low-cost futures, and who move funds off the exchange after trading.
- Avoid if: you want a regulated custodian, you live in the US, Canada, the UAE, Russia, Ukraine or Kazakhstan, or you are not prepared for the risks of small-cap tokens.
Final verdict
LBank has lasted more than ten years and offers one of the widest token lists anywhere, with cheap futures and high reported volume. Its regulatory standing is weak: an Italian AML registration and MSB filings are not licences, and some licence claims in its marketing could not be confirmed. Spot fees on smaller coins are also higher than at the market leaders. Use LBank as a specialist venue for tokens you cannot find elsewhere, keep balances small, and research every token before you buy it.
FAQ
Is LBank regulated?
LBank has no top-tier licence. It completed a virtual asset provider registration with Italy’s OAM in 2023 and lists MSB registrations in Canada and the US. These are anti-money-laundering registrations, not trading licences, and we could not verify the NFA licence mentioned in its marketing text.
What are LBank’s trading fees?
As of November 2026 LBank’s help centre lists spot fees of 0%–0.2% maker and 0.1%–0.2% taker depending on the pair, and futures fees of 0%–0.02% maker and 0%–0.1% taker. Its standard futures rate is 0.02% maker and 0.06% taker.
Can I use LBank in the UAE, Russia or Ukraine?
In May 2025 LBank stopped new registrations from the UAE, Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. Existing accounts there were limited to withdrawals, cancelling orders and closing positions.
How much leverage does LBank offer?
LBank promotes leverage of up to 200x on futures. Leverage that high can liquidate a position after a very small price move, so most traders should use far less.
Is LBank safe for new tokens?
LBank lists many new and small tokens early, which can be very volatile and illiquid. Research each project and only risk money you can afford to lose.
